About EFT:
EFT is a form of Energy Psychology which could also be referred to as " psychological acupressure". It works with the same energy meridians as used in traditional acupuncture but instead, uses simple tapping with the fingers tips on the end points of specific meridians on the face, hands and upper body. No needles are used. Light tapping acts to stimulate key points while stating out loud, the issue relating to physical or emotional pain being addressed which engages the subconscious mind in the process. Traumatic events, addictions and both emotional and physical pain are quickly relieved as the light tapping sends impulses to the particular area where the particular energy block is stored, while you maintain your attention on a particular issue. Tapping the meridian points while tuning into a problem, causes the blocks and distress to dissipate.
The originator Gary Craig developed this remarkable technique based on the ancient principle known to all yogi's and yogini's, that an upsetting experience or problem is connected with a disturbance in the body's energy system. "The CAUSE of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system," EFT can be likened to a modern form of doing tapas, an ancient Sanskrit word which means" to burn", referring to the ancient form of point holding which would sometimes cause a burning sensation as old stored memories are literally burned away.
EFT has frequently featured on television with amazingly successful phobia cures and is increasingly cited in publication as one of the most powerful innovations in mind/body health and personal growth today.
The real secret to why EFT works immediately in 90% of all cases is its ability to remove the automatic and long ingrained resistance we all have, to physical or emotional pain. As Karl Jung so aptly stated, "whatever you resist, persists." EFT clears this automatic resistance to what is uncomfortable in your life and opens the body to receiving an impulse from a light tap on the ends of the meridians, which clears the energy block which has kept the resisted physical or emotional pain going.
